Privacy policy
Last updated October 8, 2026. This policy covers the free SEO Operator app for ChatGPT and this website.
What we receive
When you ask ChatGPT to audit a page, ChatGPT sends us:
- the address of the page you asked about, and any optional details you or ChatGPT added (a search the page is meant to answer, a country or language, who the page is for);
- an anonymized user id and an anonymized conversation id that ChatGPT creates, and hints such as your language and a coarse location (city and country).
We never receive your name, email address, ChatGPT conversation or account details. The app has no sign-in and no accounts.
What we do with it
- The page address: we fetch that public page, the site's robots.txt and sitemap, and a few related pages on the same site, and check them. We obey robots.txt: a page the site does not allow us to read is not read.
- The anonymized user id: only to count how many audits you ran today, for the fair-use limit. We never store the id itself: we store a one-way keyed hash of it, and clear that two days later.
- The conversation id, language and location hints: we do not use or store them.
What we keep, and for how long
- The audit result (what was found on the pages, with short excerpts from them), for 30 days, so the same page is not fetched again when it is asked for again. It is then no longer used, and deleted in our regular cleanup.
- Operational logs with counts and outcomes only (for example "audit completed in 9 seconds"), never the page address or any user or conversation id, kept by our hosting provider for a short time.
What we never do
We do not sell or share data, show ads, build profiles of people, or use anything we receive to train AI models.
Who processes it for us
Vercel (hosting) and Neon (database), both in the United States.
Your choices
You can stop using the app at any time by removing it in ChatGPT. Because we hold no name, email or account, we cannot link stored audits to you. If you have a question or a request, write to ethan@leandiscoverygroup.com.
